A terrible tragedy occurs in the life of a lonely English teacher Polina: her little son Mark is kidnapped from kindergarten. Five years later, in a newscast from Riga, she accidentally spots her son in the crowd. Polina resumes the search, in which an ex-police officer Denis Denisov helps her. Investigating the boy’s disappearance, they find a trace of a dangerous gang that kidnaps and sells children to adoptive parents abroad. Denisov faces a dilemma: how to help the woman he loves to get her son back if the life of his only daughter is at stake?
