Independent content distributor GoQuest Media Ventures announced today that its two reality formats created by the company’s subsidiary GoQuest Formats have been picked-up for India.
The deal sees one of India’s leading production houses Optimystix Entertainment, which successfully thrives in both fiction and non-fiction programming, acquire the music reality format Sing-a-Songwriter and the music entertainment format Dinner Karaoke.
Targeted at a family audience who enjoy music and entertainment, the two exciting, warm- hearted and universal formats are bustling with international appeal.
Sing-a-Songwriter brings every aspect of music making under one show: song-writing, singing and composing. The 16 x 45 minute format challenges participants to create brand new songs by writing their own lyrics on a particular topic and fitting the lyrics perfectly to the tune of a popular song in a stipulated time frame.
Dinner Karaoke (16 x 45’) is a fun dinner time format which makes karaoke stars of unassuming diners. Three celebrity hosts visit a restaurant unannounced in their quest to search for the ‘Dinner Karaoke’ star among the regular diners.
Commenting on the deal, Vivek Lath, Founder of GoQuest Media said, “Sing-A-Songwriter and Dinner Karaoke have seen terrific interest internationally. We are excited to work with the talented team of Optimystix to roll out both these engaging formats for the Indian audience.”
Rakesh Juneja CEO of Optimystix commented, “We have found a great partner in GoQuest for these two unique formats and we look forward to many more future collaborations. We believe that these formats can be adapted for the Indian market in an interesting and engaging way”.
